NZOGBIA HAPPY WITH PARDEW

Charles N'Zogbia has praised Aston Villa
boss Paul Lambert's methods of picking
players based on hard work as opposed to
reputations.
The French international winger, who endured
a difficult first season at Villa Park after joining
in a £10million switch from Wigan in summer
2011, has started the last four Premier League
games on the substitutes' bench.
However, NZogbia feels life is a lot better at
Villa under the leadership of Lambert following
a strained relationship with former boss Alex
McLeish, who dropped and fined him for a
breach of club discipline last term, which
resulted in an angry Twitter outburst in
response.
The former Newcastle star insists that
Lambert's philosophy of players forcing their
way into his team through hard graft is fairer
than picking the big names week in, week out
regardless of their form.
"It's not about money, how many games you've
played or international appearances," said
N'Zogbia in the Express & Star. "If he thinks
you are not good or fit enough to play you have
to stick to it and work harder. It is good to
have a manager like this.
"Sometimes you can have a bad game and you
know in your head you're not going to work
hard, you know you are going to play.
"But when you know you have a bad game then
you don't play, it makes you think. It is better
for you.
"Is it fair to say reputations count for nothing
at the moment? Yes."
